The Italian Canadian Contemporary Film Festival is an Italian film festival that focuses on films made both in Italy and Canada and explores themes on Italian Canadian Culture. The festival has been running for 10 years and is open to the public in several Canadian cities including Toronto, Vancouver, Hamilton, Markham, Vaughan, Niagara, Montréal, Ottawa, and Quebec City. The ICFF also runs specialty programs throughout the year with more niche themes, such as the Architettura & Design special program in June of 2021. The third edition of the A&D special program explores how Italian architecture and design has had worldwide contemporary influence.

The 3‑part event in June featured screenings of three films, accompanied by panel discussions of renowned architects and designers in the industry. GPA partner & founder Ralph Giannone was invited to the panel discussion on the film; Carlo Scarpa and Aldo Rossi: Masters of Poetry and Memory by Francesco Conversano and Nene Grignaffini. The film explores the two very different architects’ techniques and visions for their work. The film explores the controversy and legacy of Rossi in particular, his theories and the impact of his writing on the architectural realm. The screening and discussion panel took place at the ICFF luxury open air theatre in Toronto’s Ontario Place, sponsored by Lavazza and Campari.
