Ralph Giannone Speaks at the 2025 Interior Design Show

Ralph Giannone presents “Urban Feasts: Observations on Food and Public Realm in our Growing City” at the 2025 Interior Design Show hosted at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on January 23. The lecture explores the productive parallels between two primary scales of public gathering that GPA is uniquely involved in — food spaces and public realm.

These seemingly disparate scales of design are for us united in an approach where a convivial, joyous chaos is ‘baked in.’ Designing new neighbourhoods in the rapid intensification of our city must begin with the public realm. Via a market, a restaurant, a hotel lobby, and two signature large scale urban projects, the presentation demonstrates a unique design approach at all scales of the city.
