Karen Rezek Vriend

Karen Rezek Vriend is the Operations Director and a Principal of GPA. She brings over 25 years of experience in the field of architecture, working at several top firms in communications and marketing prior to joining the team in 2009. Karen’s industry experience and specialized skills in operations and talent management have allowed her to become an integral part of the firm, where she provides high level leadership in human resources, business development, and overall operations with the goal of consistently meeting talent and operational performance standards. Her demonstrated excellence and positive impact on the culture and guidance of the firm lead to her promotion to Principal in 2022.

Working with others to foster an effective, productive, and strongly creative workforce is the guiding principle of her role, as she creates and facilitates all policies on talent, culture, and training in the GPA studio. Karen is currently completing a Human Resources Management certificate for her HRPA designation.
