Michael is a crucial member of GPA’s leadership team, guiding a myriad of iconic projects from concept to fruition in his 22 years with the firm. He has successfully managed many of GPA’s large residential works, including the Eglinton, Distinction, Verve East Village, and Regatta condominiums in Toronto, Port Credit and Calgary. He is currently the Senior Associate‐in‐Charge for the Agincourt Mall, Cloverdale Mall, and Scarborough Junction redevelopment projects, as well as the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Masterplan. Notably, the Shops at Don Mills, a 38.5-acre outdoor mixed-use development, completed in 2009, was helmed by Michael and his team. This project, among the multitude of other projects led by Michael, has become a quintessential project in GPA’s history of building visually striking and people-oriented neighborhoods.

His technical knowledge of planning standards, strength in building stakeholder relationships, and design prowess is a great asset to GPA. Michael received his Bachelor of Architecture with honours from the University of Toronto in 1993 and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Urban Planning from the University of Waterloo in 1988. Throughout his career, he has developed his expertise in urban design, both as a registered Professional Planner and Architect, and as a member of the City of Vaughan’s Design Review Panel since 2011.
